From the pen of Mr Tim Hoey (Cut Copy axe man)...

It's been busy times at the camp Cut Copy since we returned from our UK/European festival tour, so here's an all killer no filler breakdown of what's been happening and what's coming up:

We had a great tour with all round nice guys and angular rockers Bloc Party. We miraculously managed to drag a few thousand people away from the tipi tent (24hr happy hardcore raver central tent for those who don't know) to come and watch us play at the amazing Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay. Much respect to everyone who danced along. Good times had by all.

After Splendour we returned back home to the simple life in Melbourne to feed the cats, indulge in long walks in the park, catch up on daytime television, watch French new wave cinema and to write some new songs.

We've been spending plenty of time in the studio...(or at least the cafe next to the studio) recording and putting together a new live show with plenty of party tricks and longer guitar freakout jams for the upcoming Franz Ferdinand tour of the US. I also promised Dan that he wouldn't injure himself at the end of the set - something fast becoming a staple of the Cut Copy live experience.

Dan (singer/electonic dude) Cutter: "He made me bleed from the eye three times on the last tour. At the climax of the set I'd turn around only to find Tim wielding his guitar, running across the stage screaming like a banshee. Next thing I know I'm on the ground bleeding and semiconscious to which Tim would respond "I thought you saw me coming for sure that time!"
Mitchell Cutter (drummer): "I wasn't out of time at all that show. Shit Dan, you're bleeding again."

We noticed we had some spare time in the US, so we decided to add some of our own headline shows around the country to return to the same work ethic that got us to where we are today. Here they are;
